갤러리헤세드 전속작가전 《What We Continue Hesed》

갤러리 헤세드는 오는 1월 6일(화)부터 설날 전인 2월 14일(토)까지 전속 작가 김펄, 서연, 이승주, 최지현, 하정현 5인이 참여하는 전속 작가전 《What We Continue Hesed》를 개최합니다. 서로 다른 시기와 결을 지닌 작품들이 하나의 공간에 함께 놓이지만, 이 놓임은 작업을 비교하기 위한 구성이라기보다 각 작가의 작품이 어떤 시간을 지나 현재에 이르렀는지를 자연스럽게 드러내기 위한 방식으로서 기능합니다. 전시는 그러한 맥락 위에서, 특정한 주제나 형식을 앞세우기보다 갤러리와 작가가 시간을 두고 형성해 온 관계와 그 안에서 이어져 온 작업의 흐름에 주목합니다.

전속이라는 관계는 계약에 머무르지 않고, 작가의 작업을 장기적인 시선으로 바라보며 그 방향을 함께 고민하려는 태도를 전제로 합니다. 이번 전시에 소개되는 작품들 역시 그러한 시간의 밀도와 신뢰 속에서 선택되었습니다. 서로 다른 순간에서 출발한 작업들이 하나의 지속적인 흐름 위에 놓여 있음을 통해, 갤러리 헤세드는 이미 지나온 시간과 앞으로 이어질 시간을 나누지 않고 함께 바라보고자 합니다.

Gallery Hesed presents <What We Continue Hesed>, an exhibition featuring five represented artists-Pearl Kim, Seoyeon, Seungjoo Lee, Jihyeon Choi, and Jeonghyun Ha-on view from 6 January to 14 February 2026, prior to the Lunar New Year. Rather than foregrounding a specific theme or formal framework, the exhibition focuses on the relationship that has developed over time between the gallery and its artists, as well as on the ongoing trajectories of their practices. Works from different periods and with distinct sensibilities are brought together within a single space-not to invite comparison, but to allow each artist's practice to be seen as it has unfolded over time and continues into the present.

Being represented extends beyond the terms of a contract; it reflects a shared commitment to viewing an artist's work from a long-term perspective and to considering its direction together. The works presented in this exhibition have been selected within that context of accumulated time and trust. Although they originate from different moments, they form part of a continuous trajectory. Through these works, Gallery Hesed invites viewers to consider time past and time yet to come not as separate phases, but as something held and viewed together.
